Here's a list of project that I have worked on, providing a brief intro about the project and also giving an insight of the technologies used in it. This page is divided into 2 sections - Projects which are basically Win-Appz and those which are Web-Appz. Also I have included a list of website that I have worked on. The list is sorted on basis of the creation of the project for easy-addition.

WinAppz

1. VESIT Library
Date : September, 2005
Technology : TrollTech QT, MySQL, RedHat Linux
Features : A project made using TrollTech QT IDE. This connected to a MySQL Database for the storage and retrieval of the books. Targeted at interoperability of the application in terms of the OSs, the application could just manage well under Windows environment except for some issues for MySQL database.

2. Railway Reservation Database
Date : March, 2006
Technology : SQL Server 2000, no front end.
Features : This was a part of DBMS project which involved implementation of concepts like Triggers and Stored Procedure. The project started with a vision of creating a simulated Database having close resemblance to the real-world Railway database. The database was optimized to cater execution of complex queries. The simulation of booking of a single Rail ticket (seat) through multiple customers by keeping a track of the ticket journey, also ensuring that the journeys do not overlap.

3. LAN Based Treasure Hunt
Date : October, 2006
Technology : JAVA, MS Access 2003
Features : This was a part of the Java Project which featured the interactivity with ODBC database, Remote Client access through Networking and Multi-threading. This was made using NetBeans 5.5 IDE.

4. Virtual Classroom (Virtual University)
Date : May, 2007
Technology : C#.NET 2.0, ASP.NET 2.0 (C#), SQL Server 2005, RTP API, Virtual Earth API, Speech API
Features : The Virtual Classroom features software that enables a user (professor) to take a virtual class of many users (students). The Software enables the users to interact in terms of Video/Audio, Presentation Board, Shared Browser and Automated Notes Generation. The project also incorporated a website where in an e-learning portal and Communities are made for increased student-faculty interaction. The project had a SOA which had a host of webservices interacting with the applications and allowing the application to be portable. This software was selected in top-11 projects showcased in Imagine Cup 2007 India Finals in Delhi.

5. Offline RSS Reader
Date : June, 2007
Technology : .NET 2.0, C#, SQL Server 2005
Features : This is a simple-to-use RSS reader which can be used to subscribe to XML/RSS/ATOM feeds. It features automatic updating of the feeds at regular intervals, ability to create folders to manage feeds and auto-discovery of feeds from particular URL.

6. (Bulk) PhotoResizer
Date : January, 2008
Technology : .NET 2.0, C#, GDI+
Features : This Application helps to bulk resize of jpeg images. You can set the Quality of the images, while resizing by absolute values or by percentage. A very light weight tool that has been released for public download and use.
